The template includes rows for multiple technicians with individual job slots for each day, Monday through Friday. You can print additional copies or duplicate rows in the Excel version to accommodate as many crew members as your team requires.
The route grouping column lets you tag jobs by geographic area or zip code so you can cluster nearby appointments on the same day. This helps reduce drive time between jobs, saving fuel costs and allowing your technicians to complete more jobs per day.
The capacity tracker is a built-in row at the bottom of each day's column that shows how many job slots are filled versus the total available. It gives you a quick visual indicator of which days are overbooked and which have room for emergency calls or last-minute bookings.
The default layout covers Monday through Friday, but the Excel version is fully editable so you can add Saturday and Sunday columns. You can also adjust the time windows to include evening or after-hours slots for emergency service work.
The template includes a dedicated open slots section that highlights unfilled time blocks across the week. When a cancellation occurs, you can quickly scan the open slots to identify the gap and reassign a waiting customer or move a lower-priority job into that window.
